The concept of the IIDENCOM Open Enrollment Station
is to extract fingerprint information from sensor images
and store the information on storage cards (smartcards).
The information stored on the cards can be used for verification
applications on PC-independent terminals. Open Enrollment
Station currently supports four different smarcard systems:
|
| Legic Identification Media |
| - |
The fingerprint information is stored on Legic IM, which
possess a capacity of 1 KB. A strict security concept
is enforced and changes of the information on the card
may be made exclusively by authorized personnel. |
| Philips Mifare Standard IC |
| - |
The fingerprint information is stored on Philips Mifare
standard ICs with a total capacity of 1 KB. The data on
the card is protected by pair of public and private IDENCOM
keys, which ensure the integrity and security of the data
on card. |
| - |
DT NetKey cards are the only non-contactless smartcards
supported by the IDENCOM Open Enrollment Station. |
| - |
The TI RFid Tag-It media are fully ISO/IEC 15693 compliant.
The Open Enrollment Station supports storing one supertemplate
on these smartcards, which have a capacity of 256 bytes. |
